VU B.V. Library

The VU B.V. library forms, builds, maintains and systematizes information resource, whose mission is to:

  • Promote research and academic activities of the lecturers, current and prospective students;
  • Meet current educational and information needs during the learning process in all academic program offered at the University.

The library has a collection of 13,878 library items, including:

  • Books – 12,973 library units;
  • Periodicals – 505 library units.

The book store is organized in two funds:

  • Fund Reading – books that are used in the library
  • Reference Fund – books that can be borrowed for use outside the library.

WEB OF KNOWLEDGE

Web of Knowledge (formerly known as ISI Web of Knowledge) is an academic citation indexing and search service, which is combined with web linking and is provided by Thomson Reuters. Web of Knowledge covers the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. It provides bibliographic content and tools to access, analyze, and manage research information.

Palgrave Connect presents libraries with a flexible approach to building an ebook collection with over 14,000 titles offered in the Humanities, the Social Sciences and Business in 2015.

The Springer Link – Providing researchers with access to millions of scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols and reference works.

LITERNET

LiterNet – Bulgarian specialized portal for Literature and Humanitarian science.

DOAJ

DOAJ – Free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, covering all subjects and many languages.

Globethics – А global network of persons and institutions interested in various fields of applied ethics. It offers access to a large number of resources on ethics, especially through its leading global digital ethics library and facilitates collaborative web-based research, conferences, online publishing and information sharing.
