WHAT IS THE PH.D.

The Ph.D. is a post-graduate training period, which lasts three years. Students follow a scientific educational pathway which includes the direct participation in research activities, seminars and scientific internships, guided by the experts who direct the doctorate.

The Doctorate courses intend to supply proficient competencies, necessary for professional research activities requiring specialized qualifications, excellent scientific knowledge and, therefore, the acquisition of scientific investigation methods and techniques.

These competencies can be performed and invested for both the access to the scientific career in research centres, including Universities, and in companies and firms that invest in innovation and development.
